Now that the weather is getting warmer, I'm looking forward to starting off my weekend mornings with a cup of coffee and reading a good book or journaling. I used loose dynamic brushstrokes with a flat brush and a limited color palette of CYMK for this painting.

This is part of my year long project, "This sweet simple existence". During this year of living creatively, I will create small artworks everyday based around objects from my daily life, (mostly food, household items, perhaps the view from my window etc). thereby simply documenting the extraordinary in the ordinary joys of a simple life.
