Day 152-181: June 2026 Paintings Offered as Prints.
June 2026’s paintings were created using gouache, acrylic and oils on watercolor and acrylic paper (9×12”) that was taped off at the halfway point and around the edges for a border. This yielded 2 paintings per sheet of paper, each 6×9” in size. Even though the originals have a white border around them, the border is often a bit uneven with some of the pink background having seeped through. Therefore, June’s paintings will only be available as borderless prints, in the original size 6×9”. Each pair of paintings follow a certain theme or subject. The idea was to work fast with an economy of brushstrokes and to focus on values, shadows and lights.

This is part of my year long project, "This sweet simple existence". During this year of living creatively, I will create small artworks everyday based around objects from my daily life, (mostly food, household items, perhaps the view from my window etc). thereby simply documenting the extraordinary in the ordinary joys of a simple life.
