This is part of the “Southwest” collection, where I depict some scenes in Southwest USA. I’ve always admired the almost other worldly, almost alien beauty of the desert landscapes of Southwestern USA, like the blue agave plants found in much of the south west. For this fourth piece in the collection, I wanted to highlight the cool tones of these blue-green succulents, and contrast them with the warm tones of the surrounding landscape. The painting was done with a backdrop of mountains with a landscape peppered by agave plants. This painting, as well as the other paintings in the collection, are done with a limited palette of toned down earthy tones, colors that match the muted quality of the landscape.
The sides of canvas are painted using the same color palette as the painting. The artwork is signed and dated on the back. It is varnished and will arrive ready to hang.
Keep in mind that all computer monitors display color differently, so your painting may differ slightly in color from the image you see onscreen.
Artwork will be carefully packaged using bubble wrap and cardboard and shipped as fragile item for further protection. Please note that if artwork is being shipped overseas (outside of Canada), there is a chance that it might be kept in customs for a couple of weeks. However, this is a risk with any artwork shipped overseas from Canada and should not pose a problem.
