Day 29: "Streamline", water mixable oil on gallery wrapped stretched canvas, 10x10"

$100.00

Day 29: "Streamline", water mixable oil on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. This is part of my "Swimmers" series,  a collection of paintings focused on women swimmers, an homage to one of my favorite meditative practices, as I'm an avid swimmer myself. The title refers to the streamline technique, which is the optimal form when starting a lap or a turn to reduce resistance, when arms are outstretched over the head, shoulders close to the ears, legs straight and head in line with spine, creating a horizontal straight line from head to feet.

This is part of my year long project, "This sweet simple existence". During this year of living creatively, I will create small artworks everyday based around objects from my daily life, (mostly food, household items, perhaps the view from my window etc). thereby simply documenting the extraordinary in the ordinary joys of a simple life. This painting will be signed, varnished and ready to hang.

Keep in mind that all computer monitors display color differently, so your painting may differ slightly in color from the image you see onscreen.

Artwork will be carefully packaged using bubble wrap and cardboard and shipped as fragile item for further protection. Please note that if artwork is being shipped overseas (outside of Canada), there is a chance that it might be kept in customs for a couple of weeks. However, this is a risk with any artwork shipped overseas from Canada and should not pose a problem

My latest #wip went from this to this 👈🏼 (swipe to see the progress) This is what happens when I overthink a painting. It may have looked half way decent somewhere in the middle but of course I fiddled with it too much and completely messed it up.
