"Swim Session", water mixable oil on gallery wrapped stretched canvas, 10x10". I'm an avid swimmer. At least, I have been for the past few years. I love the feeling of being one with the water after the first few laps, I love the ache in bones after a hardcore swim session, and I love the good night's sleep that I get after I've been swimming. However, due to several reasons I haven't been swimming much for a few months now. Every time I see a swimming pool, I get that restless feeling. So I thought I would do a series called "Swimmers", an homage to one of my favorite meditative practices. Perhaps, it will get me back in the pool. This is part of my year long project, "This sweet simple existence". During this year of living creatively, I will create small artworks everyday based around objects from my daily life, (mostly food, household items, perhaps the view from my window etc). thereby simply documenting the extraordinary in the ordinary joys of a simple life. This painting will be signed, varnished and ready to hang.
Keep in mind that all computer monitors display color differently, so your painting may differ slightly in color from the image you see onscreen.
Artwork will be carefully packaged using bubble wrap and cardboard and shipped as fragile item for further protection. Please note that if artwork is being shipped overseas (outside of Canada), there is a chance that it might be kept in customs for a couple of weeks. However, this is a risk with any artwork shipped overseas from Canada and should not pose a problem
