Day 26: "Yellow Rose", water mixable oil on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. Yellow is not my favorite color and its definitely not my favorite to paint with. So I decided to challenge myself to paint a yellow rose. I do, however, prefer yellow roses to the typical, cliche red. This is part of my year long project, "This sweet simple existence". During this year of living creatively, I will create small artworks everyday based around objects from my daily life, (mostly food, household items, perhaps the view from my window etc). thereby simply documenting the extraordinary in the ordinary joys of a simple life. This painting will be signed, varnished and ready to hang.
