Day 137/365: "Swimming Again" Print.

My sketchbook is a safe space for me where I get to experiment and make mistakes. This was the idea behind May’s paintings; to prioritize looseness and speed over perfection or a finished look. Therefore, as May’s paintings were created on non-detachable watercolor sketchbook paper, the originals are obviously not available for purchase. However, they will be offered as mini prints in one size only, 5×7”. This painting was created using wax pastels on watercolor paper, original size 8.5×5.5”. This painting is a self portrait of when I started swimming again after a year out of the pool. I managed to take a quick selfie before the life guard told me that no cameras were allowed.

This is part of my year long project, "This sweet simple existence". During this year of living creatively, I will create small artworks everyday based around objects from my daily life, (mostly food, household items, perhaps the view from my window etc). thereby simply documenting the extraordinary in the ordinary joys of a simple life.

  • The print will be signed and numbered according to the day it was created (e.g., 1/365, 2/365, etc.)

  • It will be printed on premium quality, archival grade, acid free, thick, textured paper.

  • The print will be 5×7” unframed and borderless. All sizes are in inches.

For international orders: buyer is responsible for any additional taxes, tariffs, and customs fees upon import.

All orders are printed on demand. Your order will be shipped within 7-9 business days!
