This is part of the “Southwest” collection, where I depict some scenes in Southwest USA. I’ve always admired the almost other worldly, almost alien beauty of the desert landscapes of Southwestern USA, like the Saguaro National Park in Arizona with its strange flora, species of plants that exist no where else in the world. Who said that the desert doesn’t have flowers? For this second piece in the collection, I wanted to focus on the unique flowering cactus that are found in the South West. The vibrant peachy tones of these flowers are reflected by the colors of a desert twilight sky and a background of towering mountains and are the only pop of color in an otherwise muted landscape. This painting, as well as other paintings in the collection, are done with a limited palette of toned down earthy tones, colors that match the muted quality of the landscape.
The print will be unframed and borderless. All sizes are in inches.

10×10” and 12”x12” prints will be sent flat supported by cardboard backs, to prevent bending, wrapped in in acid free tissue paper and shipped in a plastic sleeve. Prints larger than 12×12” will be rolled and carefully shipped in a durable tube to prevent creasing.
