This is part of the “Southwest” collection, where I depict some scenes in Southwest USA. I’ve always admired the almost other worldly, almost alien beauty of the desert landscapes of Southwestern USA, like the Arches National Park, Utah with the reddish brown mountains in the background, sage brush and a lone tree rising out of the orange earth. For this third piece in the collection, I wanted to highlight the juxtaposition of the bright blue sky with the almost fiery orange of the earth to convey a scorching landscape bleached by a sweltering sun. This painting, as well as the other paintings in the collection, are done with a limited palette of toned down earthy tones, colors that match the muted quality of the landscape.
The print will be unframed and borderless. All sizes are in inches.

10×10” and 12”x12” prints will be sent flat supported by cardboard backs, to prevent bending, wrapped in in acid free tissue paper and shipped in a plastic sleeve. Prints larger than 12×12” will be rolled and carefully shipped in a durable tube to prevent creasing.
