Day 67: "Caribbean Blue", wax pastels on cold pressed, heavy weight watercolor paper, 9×12”. I went on a trip with my daughter a couple of years ago and I took this picture of sailboats in the distance. The water was as clear and beautiful as you'd expect Cuban waters to be.

This is part of my 2026 year long project, "This sweet simple existence". During this year of living creatively, I will create small artworks everyday based around objects from my daily life, (mostly food, household items, perhaps the view from my window etc). thereby simply documenting the extraordinary in the ordinary joys of a simple life.
