Day 69: "Sweet Dreams", wax pastels on watercolor paper, 12x9". My struggle in Ramadan has never been hunger or even thirst. It's always been lack of sleep due to waking up an hour before sunrise so I can eat something and drink my coffee at my own pace. Also I tend to stay up till 11 or 12, so it's a max of 4-5 hours sleep for me. So during the last few days of Ramadan, sleep deprivation catches up with me.
The original artwork and art prints will be available for purchase.
The art print will be printed on high quality archival paper in standard sizes (8.5×11.5) with borders to allow for matting and framing. It will be signed in the back, packaged in a protective sleeve and shipped carefully.
This is part of my 2026 year long project, "This sweet simple existence". During this year of living creatively, I will create small artworks everyday based around objects from my daily life, (mostly food, household items, perhaps the view from my window etc). thereby simply documenting the extraordinary in the ordinary joys of a simple life.
