Day 78: "Van Houtte", watercolor and wax pastels on paper, 9x12”. Ramadan is over and I can go back to my regularly scheduled programming of filling my house with the smell of this coffee in the morning. It’s my favorite brand. And while “Colombian” is my favorite blend, “house blend” is the next best option. Either way, I'm always looking for that “Torrefaction Moyenne”, (Medium Roast).

This is part of my 2026 year long project, "This sweet simple existence". During this year of living creatively, I will create small artworks everyday based around objects from my daily life, (mostly food, household items, perhaps the view from my window etc). thereby simply documenting the extraordinary in the ordinary joys of a simple life.
