Day 68: "Dumplings", wax pastels and gouache on watercolor paper, 12x9". This is one of our favorite things to eat, my daughter and I. It's also one of our favorite mommy-daughter bonding activities. I make the filling ahead of time and then we sit for an hour or so wrapping dozens of them, while we chat or listen to music.
The original artwork and art prints will be available for purchase.
The art print will be printed on high quality archival paper in standard sizes (8.5×11.5) with borders to allow for matting and framing. It will be signed in the back, packaged in a protective sleeve and shipped carefully.
This is part of my 2026 year long project, "This sweet simple existence". During this year of living creatively, I will create small artworks everyday based around objects from my daily life, (mostly food, household items, perhaps the view from my window etc). thereby simply documenting the extraordinary in the ordinary joys of a simple life.
